Immigration and skilled workers

I’ve been living in Germany for about 1.5 years now as a Blue Card holder, working as a skilled professional. It’s been an incredible experience so far, but with the rise of right-wing parties and the ongoing debates around immigration, I’ve been wondering what the future holds—not just for migrants seeking asylum but also for skilled workers like us.

I’d love to hear from germans and those who’ve been living in Germany as foreigners for a longer time:

How have you seen these political shifts impact immigrants in general? Do you think skilled workers like Blue Card holders might face challenges, or are we seen differently in these discussions? What does the future look like for foreigners contributing to the labor market? Feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, or advice. I’m eager to learn more about how the community feels about this and what we can do to stay informed and prepared.

Let’s keep it respectful and insightful—looking forward to hearing from you all! 😊
