What is with this freaking game...it's just a game...

I'm a big simulator buff. I love DCS World and MS Flight Sim. I've spent over $2,500 on airplane equipment. I got ATS and a wheel/shifter/pedal combo and ran it through VR. I can't stop it. I work from home, and every two hours, I drive for 15 minutes. At lunch, I drive. At night, I drive. I haven't touched the planes in a month. I've tried to understand why I like it, and the only thing I can land on is that it's the right mix between reality and quick, effortless engagement. You put on the headset, start ATS, and pick up where you left off. Am I crazy? I keep telling myself...It's only a game...It's only a game...
