Food Allergy in the AirForce

I'm planning on enlisting in the airforce, but my peanut allergy has held me back so far. I searched through past questions on here and they had different answers than my recruiter is currently giving me. My recruiter says I have to prove that I won't go into anaphylaxis (which I never have) if I ingest peanuts, through a food test with a doctor. However, on here everybody has said that they know people who have gone into anaphylaxis and could get into the military just fine. My allergy doctor also said that she has patients with food allergies that got into the military no problem.

Any have an clue about what I actually need? Is the recruiter mistaken? Is it a new rule?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.
