Incorrect AP isolation error

Hello, I've been using Nest wifi and Google home for years and although I've experienced my share of bugs in the past, I've come across something I can't fix myself.

I have an ARRIS SBG10 modem + router, which runs 2 wifi networks, 2.4 and 5. I also have 2 mesh routers. TP-Link 1750 Google Nest Wi-Fi router

Initially when I added nest wifi router to this setup, I had connection issues which were resolved after 2-3 factory reset within the first month whenever the issue became uncomfortable for work.

Now, after 2.5 years, some days, all my wifi networks just suddenly started disconnecting.

I tried troubleshooting with Comcast but they said everything was okay, which then I tested by connecting a lab cable directly to a PS5 and then tested each router/modem connection thoroughly to conclude that nest wifi was the culprit.

This was also after I had factory reset each of those devices.

So, I decided to disconnect my nest wifi from modem and have been using the SBG10 + AC1750 setup smoothly for 3-4 days.

I figured I should try to see if the nest wifi may start working now, and yes it does.

However, I can not add any Google home devices due to an AP isolation issue.

Ok, let's disable it, but here's the catch, it's never been enabled.

Ok, for posterity and sanity check, let's reset the router, nothing changes, let's factory reset the router, nothing changed. Update the firmware on router + modem, still nothing changes.

What the fuck do I do next?

I am unable to connect any of the following devices due to the same issue.

  1. Nest doorbell
  2. Nest mini
  3. Home mini
  4. Nest wifi point

Hopefully someone has run into and resolved this before. 🙏
