What Was Your First Depeche Mode Song?

I am always interested to hear different people share their first taste of Depeche Mode.

I was 8 years old when I first heard People Are People in 1984.

I was just starting a journey that was to be 8 years of being on the receiving end of torturous bullying. So much so it made me even as a little kid not want to be here anymore.

After multiple decades of depression and trying to heal. These lyrics still have so much power....

I can't understand What makes a man Hate another man Help me understand

As a Ginger kid of 8, I could very much relate and ask why do we hate each other? Why do we treat each other so awfully?

Now as a Ginger gent of 47, I am still asking these same questions.

People are People will always be one of my favourite songs. Amongst an entire series of so many incredible songs and albums over the years.
