What's everyone's thoughts on The Hunting Party?
I'm working on a video reviewing Linkin Park's discography, and I've been relistening to all of their studio albums for research. I'm about to relisten to The Hunting Party, and I'll be honest; I actually really like this album. I love how barebones the sound of this album is, and I welcome how it adds bits of punk rock and heavy metal. "Guilty All The Same" and "Final Masquerade" have always been some of my favorite LP songs, and I considered "A Line In The Sand" to be the band's perfect swan song until their comeback last year. That said, I really don't get the hate this album gets. Apparently it's one of the band's least-liked records? Plus the fact that the band doesn't even perform songs from this record onstage anymore. (I would pay Emily my life savings to see her sing "Guilty All The Same" because she'd kill it.) Not one single from this album even made it on Papercuts.
So does this album really deserve all that hate? Or are there other people out there who enjoy this album as much as I do? Wanna know what you guys think.
