Help with relativity problem

Hi guys, so I had this question on a Galilean and special relativity test. Usually I am open to being wrong about a question, but the answer than the teacher has as correct makes no sense to me and I believe I’m correct objectively. I think that there is confusion due to the very ambiguous wording and interpretation of the question. Imma update later on with what I put and what my teacher has as the supposed answer to prevent any bias. Thanks for the help and here is the question word for word:

Parachutist A is falling at a constant speed of 45m/s vertically downwards towards the Earth. Parachutist B is falling nearby at a constant speed of 38m/s. Parachutist A throws a ball vertically upwards at an initial speed of 3.5m/s as viewed by parachutist A.

What is the initial velocity of the ball as viewed by parachutist B?

(A) 3.5m/s (B) -3.5m/s
(C) 10.5m/s (D) -10.5m/s
